Position Overview
The Facilities and Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing the building and Machine Maintenance Departments that serve the entire company. Participate in the Safety Committee, work to ensure that TCR is the safest possible place to work; ensure that all environmental regulations are followed company wide.  Support maximizing equipment uptime by driving both efficient and effective reactionary machine repairs, as well as championing a robust Preventative Maintenance program.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities/Key Responsibilities/Key Duties
  • Safety: Know, follow and enforce TCR Safety rules and investigate all accidents.
  • ISO-14001: Know and follow all policies, procedures and instructions that are applicable.
  • Training: Participate in (and in some cases lead) all required company training and make sure that your direct reports are properly trained.
  • Housekeeping: Everyone is expected to keep his or her work area cleaned and organized. In addition as a part of management this position is responsible for having their direct reports maintain company Housekeeping standards.
  • Establish and maintain an organized and productive team.
  • Use the computerized Maintenance software to schedule work, compile results for cost & repair history, and report on any abnormal maintenance activities.
  • Manage the scheduling of all maintenance projects by working with the effected departments and Production Control.
  • Be a strong participant in Lean initiatives.
  • Implement and maintain an effective Preventive Maintenance Program.
  • Manage Maintenance Supplies for the entire company.
  • Track and keep to the department budget.
  • Manage machine repairs to have the least impact to production schedules while still maintaining the best possible level of service.
  • Keep repair parts inventory for critical machines.
  • Work to implement a Total Preventive Maintenance Program.
  • Work with H.R. on Training Software to schedule Environmental and Safety training.
  • Attend regularly scheduled Safety and Environmental Committee meetings.
  • Assure prompt response to all accidents, safety issues, and environmental issues.
  • Work with Central Safety Coordinator to monitor all safety training and OSHA Compliance. (Be the lead contact for all audits for OSHA, State, County, or city Regulators)
 
Desired and/or Required Skills and Experience
  • 10 years of Maintenance experience with progressively more management responsibility.
  • Preferred: Licensed/Certified in at least one maintenance discipline (Electric, Electronics, Mechanical, HVAC, ESH…)
  • Ability to research and analyze various different type of data information.
  • Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
