TCR Engineered Components is now evaluating candidates for a Drafter for its operating division, located in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. TCR is focused on highly engineered, machined components that are utilized primarily in the automotive market. 

Position Overview
The Drafter is responsible for drafting and revising all production and tooling prints (CAD system) and developing, revising the quality control plans to ensure accurate production documents in a timely manner
Essential Duties and Responsibilities/Key Responsibilities/Key Duties
  • Put all drawings new and old on cad system within the format as adopted
  • Serve as a resource to all departments in problem resolution and standard operating procedure.
  • Assure up to date prints and control l\plans are issued for production.
  • Be prepared and familiar with all engineering duties, print control, new orders, and repeats.
  • Work with all shop personnel with the drawings of machined parts and changes.
  • Work with account representatives and scheduling as needed to keep workflow smooth.
  • Work with tool assembly and tool room on questionable prints.
  • Update data base for forecasted production releases and part print listings.
  • Train and assist all drafting staff.
 
Desired and/or Required Skills and Experience
  • Associates degree in Mechanical drafting.
  • Proficient with Autocad and Inventor Cad (2-5 years) software.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, and excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to research and analyze various different type of data information.
  • Ability to make recommendations and effectively resolve problems or issues.
  • High level of organization and ability to prioritize work.
  • Maintain a positive working environment within all departments.
  • Work at a fast pace and able to adjust schedule to meet customer demands.
